Ganadores de los Ringo Awards 2023

La industria del cómic estadounidense tiene varios premios especializados que se entregan año tras año para reconocer a lo mejor o más destacado del arte secuencial publicado el año previo. Los más famosos de entre estos galardones son el Eisner Award, que se entrega cada año en el marco de la San Diego Comic-Con International; y el Harvey Award, que desde hace unos años es parte de las actividades de la New York Comic Con.

Entre los premios de más reciente creación que han ganado reconocimiento destacan los Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards, mejor conocidos como Ringo Awards. Deben su nombre al popular artista de cómics Mike Wieringo, y se crearon en 2017 para conmemorar el décimo aniversario de su deceso. Auspiciados por la tienda Cards, Comics, & Collectibles, de Reisterstown, Maryland, desde ese primer año se entregan en la Baltimore Comic-Con, previo hogar de los Harvey.

Los nominados son elegidos por una combinación de fans (dos nominados por categoría, salvo por un puñado de categorías sólo para fans) y un jurado de profesionales del medio, y los ganadores son resultado de una votación entre fans y profesionales. Actualmente el premio se otorga en un total de 23 categorías. Aquí les comparto los nominados y ganadores de la edición 2023, cuya ceremonia se realizó el pasado fin de semana.
