Nominados a los Premios Eisner 2023

El Will Eisner Comic Industry Award, a menudo conocido simplemente como el Eisner Award o sólo Eisner, es el premio más importante que entrega cada año la industria del cómic estadounidense. Cada año la entrega oficial de este galardón se da en el mes de julio durante una ceremonia celebrada en el marco de la San Diego Comic-Con International, convención considerada como el evento más importante de la industria del cómic.

El premio recibe su nombre del legendario autor de cómics Will Eisner, pilar en el desarrollo del medio en sus primeras décadas, y a menudo considerado como el padre de la novela gráfica. Se entrega desde hace 35 años con el propósito de llamar atención hacia el medio y destacar lo mejor de los autores y publicaciones en el mundo del cómic y novela gráfica publicados en Estados Unidos entre el 1 de enero y el 31 de diciembre del año anterior.

Los nominados los elige un jurado, este año formado por la bibliotecaria Moni Barrette, el coleccionista y educador Peter Jones, la dueña de tienda de cómics Jen King, el periodista Sean Kleefeld, el académico y creador de cómics A. David Lewis, y el curador e instructor de cómics TJ Shevlin. Los ganadores se deciden por votación entre los profesionales de la industria previamente registrados en el sitio web del premio, realizada a lo largo de las próximas tres semanas.

Este año la ceremonia de entrega tendrá lugar la noche del próximo viernes 21 de julio en el San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel. El miércoles de esta semana se dieron a conocer los nominados en las treinta y dos categorías del premio, que este año abarcan cerca de ciento cincuenta títulos de más de cincuenta casas editoriales, con obras de autores de todas partes del mundo, y aquí les comparto la lista completa:
